CREAMY FETTUCCINE ALFREDO RECIPE

CREAMY FETTUCCINE ALFREDO RECIPE

When it comes to cooking on a busy weeknight, most people don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen. That’s why pasta is a great option, as it can usually be cooked quickly and easily. Fresh pasta, in particular, can be cooked in just a few minutes.

One popular pasta dish is creamy fettuccine Alfredo, which is often served in restaurants. However, you can easily make it at home. Interestingly, the original version of this dish, known as fettuccine al burro, doesn’t actually include any meat or cream. Italian cooks typically don’t add anything like chicken or ham to the dish.

CREAMY FETTUCCINE ALFREDO TIPS

To make the dish, fresh fettuccine pasta is often used, which can be cooked in well-salted boiling water in under 5 minutes. Everything is tossed together and typically doesn’t have cream, although this modern recipe includes it. It’s important to save some pasta water for finishing the dish, which helps to emulsify the sauce and create an extra creamy finish that sticks to the pasta.

While the traditional version of the dish doesn’t include meat, you can always add chicken or ham if that’s your preferred way of enjoying it. So, if you’re a fan of pasta, you’ll definitely want to try this classic Italian dish, whether you stick with the traditional version or opt for the creamier fettuccine Alfredo.
