Couple pulled from Turkey earthquake rubble alive after 12 days, surviving without food and water

Twelve days after Turkey’s deadly earthquake, a couple has miraculously been extracted from the wreckage of a building that was destroyed by the natural disaster.

A couple was discovered alive in a tower block’s wreckage almost two weeks after the tragic event that has so far claimed 46,000 lives.

Together with their 12-year-old kid, Samir Muhammed Accar, his wife Ragda, and themselves had spent 296 hours in the wreckage of their home.

The 12-year-old had spent the entire time in the wreckage without food or water, despite the fact that the three had been successfully retrieved from it. However, their baby boy tragically passed away from dehydration shortly after they unfortunately arrived at the hospital.

The child was being treated by doctors at the scene of the rescue while his parents were carried out and into an ambulance that was waiting, according to The Sun.

Atay Osmanov, one of the numerous rescuers laboriously searching through the debris for lives, claimed that they started excavating after hearing cries coming from the Antakya, Turkey, homes that had been completely destroyed.

Take a deep breath if you can hear my voice, a worker is claimed to have yelled down to the family.

When the first earthquake struck, Lemi from Hull was safe in Istanbul, but his wife Victoria and their infant daughter Katelyn were close to the earthquake’s center.

The father booked a car right away and drove 12 hours to the disaster area after watching the earthquake happen through his daughter’s baby monitor.

Although the three has thankfully been reunited, Lemi revealed horrific scenes that had “bodies everywhere,” adding that you could hear the entire building squeaking and making a tapping noise. Your blood chills as you observe it.

“I saw events where 20 to 30 automobiles were involved in crashes and there were bodies all over the place in three different places. It was awful.”
