On Monday, a lady who was 38 years old died in Cooktown, and investigators from the Cooktown Criminal Investigation Branch have begun looking into the circumstances surrounding her unexpected death (February 6).
At around five o’clock in the evening, officers were sent to an address on Bradbury Street in response to a complaint that a woman’s body had been discovered on the premises.
The location has been designated as a crime scene, and inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death are still under way.
Anyone who was in either of these areas at the time and may have information, CCTV or dashcam video is requested to get in touch with the police.
