It has been revealed that a woman who disappeared two weeks ago with her convicted sex offender boyfriend gave birth to their child in the trunk of a car.
The back seat of the car that Constance Marten and Mark Gordon abandoned on the M61 contained a placenta and other signs of childbirth, sources close to the investigation informed The Daily Telegraph.
On January 5, investigators discovered the automobile, which had been on fire. They suspect that 35-year-old Ms. Marten gave birth one or two days prior and did not obtain the proper medical care.
Ms. Marten and Gordon, 48, allegedly concealed her pregnancy for five months prior to her disappearance. His mother asserts the couple secretly wed after finding she was pregnant.

The police suspect the aristocratic Ms. Marten went to considerable measures to conceal the birth of her child.
They are concerned for the infant.
Since meeting in London in 2016, the couple is believed to have led a reclusive existence, with Ms. Marten, a theater student at the time, severing links with her family and acquaintances.
Gordon is said to have resided nearby and worked as a laborer, though it is unclear how they met.
In September of last year, they began renting AirBnBs and traveling the country.
On January 5, their vehicle broke down and caught fire on the M61 near junction four in Farnworth, Bolton.
The couple is not believed to have purposefully set fire to the automobile, which was purchased with cash soon before it was discovered. They suspect that the car experienced a mechanical breakdown.
The couple then walked to Anchor Lane Bridge, where they caught a taxi to Liverpool and a second taxi to Harwich, Essex.
On Friday, January 6 and Saturday, January 7, they were spotted in Colchester before taking another taxi to East Ham Station in Newham, London.
When Ms. Marten and Mr. Gordon are seen on surveillance footage, they are always concealing their faces or turning away, and the infant is always concealed.
According to investigators, the duo appears to know how to elude authorities, making their search more difficult.
They also believe that the couple lost the majority of their possessions in the automobile fire.
The Metropolitan Police, who are leading the search for the couple and their infant, reported that they are carrying a considerable quantity of cash from a multimillion-dollar trust fund that allows them to live off the grid.

Ms. Marten and her companion, Mark Gordon, have been missing since the 5th of January, when their vehicle broke down and caught fire on the M61. The couple was observed fleeing the highway on foot with their infant.
After her vehicle broke down on the M61 near Bolton on Thursday evening, Ms. Marten was reported to have been observed at Harwich Port, Essex about 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The police believe they could be anywhere in the United Kingdom and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating them.
Since the pair was last seen on January 7, about 200 officers have combed through over 200 hours of surveillance material.
Yesterday, it was revealed that Gordon is a registered sex offender who was imprisoned for 20 years in the United States for a horrific sex attack in which he kidnapped a neighbor when he was just 14 years old.
Gordon was born in Birmingham, West Midlands, in 1989, although he and his mother and half-siblings immigrated to the United States when he was a kid.
In April of that year, at the age of 14, Gordon armed himself with garden shears and a kitchen knife, then attacked his neighbor in a 4.5-hour ordeal during which he held her hostage and sexually raped her.
Documents indicate that two young children were sleeping in the room next door at the time of the incident.
According to US court documents, Gordon allegedly broke into the woman’s bathroom through the window, where he discovered a pair of her stockings that he used as a makeshift mask.
The documents claim that once the defendant encountered his victim, he forced her back into the bedroom while still armed and requested that she disrobe.
He then assaulted and raped the victim sexually.
Gordon faced a total of six charges related to the attack on April 29: one crime of armed kidnapping, four different counts of armed sexual battery, and one case of armed burglary. He was found guilty on all counts.
Sylvia, Gordon’s 83-year-old mother, stated that her son is a ‘wonderful lad’ and claimed that he secretly married Ms. Marten, adding that she ‘does not know what this is all about’
“I am quite concerned. I cherish my son. She stated, “He is a good boy, so I don’t know what this is about.”
“I am concerned for everyone. I am wondering whether they have been kidnapped.

Constance’s father, Napier Marten (pictured), was a pageboy for Queen Elizabeth II before he gave up his £115 million inheritance after a “epiphany” advised him to abandon his “materialistic” lifestyle.
Her comments came after film producer Napier Marten pleaded with his estranged daughter Constance to find safety for herself and her child.
Mr. Marten, son of Mary Anna Marten, whose godmother was the late Queen mother, told the Independent: ‘Dear Constance, although we remain estranged at the time, I am ready, as I and my family have always done, to do whatever is required for your safe return to us.
I implore you to find a means to turn yourself and your child over to the police as soon as possible so that you and your child can be safeguarded.
‘Only then can a process of healing and rehabilitation begin, regardless of how long or challenging it may be.
“We are deeply concerned for your well-being and that of your child.
Please understand that the family will do everything necessary to ensure your safety.
And I also want you to know that you are dearly, dearly loved regardless of the circumstances.
