The car was supposed to be charged at a Genie Point charging point but they were not working so it had to be plugged in near the front door of the Starbucks instead

However, the points were defective and the automobile had to be charged at the neighboring Starbucks.
Andrew, who supplied the photographs to MailOnline, stated, “I’ve seen it all now.”

On a specific day, statistics revealed that six percent of points were defective.

This falls far short of the government’s goal of 99 percent dependability.

The automobile was intended to be charged at a Genie Point charging station, but they were malfunctioning, so it had to be plugged in at the Starbucks entrance instead.

Andrew, who supplied the photos to MailOnline, stated, “Extraordinary customer service at Starbucks this afternoon on the A1 driving home from Heathrow.”

“Car charger out of service, and our planet-saving government is teaching us how to be green in a silly way… Everyone in the parking lot was laughing… I’ve now seen it all…’

Several caution signs were also placed in a row to conceal the cable.

MailOnline sought feedback from Starbucks and Genie Point.

The vehicle was scheduled to be charged at a Genie Point charging station, but none were operational, so it had to be plugged in at the Starbucks entrance instead.

On a single day in February, statistics from the EV driver app Zapp App revealed that nearly six percent of the total number of electric car charging outlets in the United Kingdom were malfunctioning and out of operation.

This number was well below the Government’s aim of a 99% rate of reliability.

In May, MailOnline revealed exclusively that the UK’s rollout of electric car chargers had stopped, with the government set to fall far short of its goal if monthly installations are not increased.

The Mini Cooper had to mount the sidewalk and park between two bollards in order to access the outlet in the coffee shop.

Between October 1 of last year and January 1 of this year, a total of 2,448 electric car chargers were installed, but that number dropped to 1,915 in the first three months of this year.

Despite the staggering numbers, the Department for Transport (DfT) argued that its implementation was ‘accelerating’ by providing data showing that over 1,000 charge points were deployed from April to May.

Even though this was an improvement over the quarterly monthly average, it was still far below the targeted target rate, which required a threefold increase.
