Cassper Nyovest won 16th Safta’s Golden Horn

Cassper Nyovest has cause for celebration after receiving his first Golden Horn award at the 16th South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas) held on Saturday.

The Saftas were held in yet another virtual show, apparently unaware that in-person events are once again permitted.

When it began, “The Braai Show with Cassper,” a Cake Media production, was plagued by a legal struggle over its rightful owner.

Therefore, winning Best Variety Show is more significant.

Nyovest celebrated his Saftas triumph through Twitter.

“Wtf? I just won a SAFTA? We just can’t stop winning!!!! The #BraaiShowWithCass is now a SAFTA Award-winning show!!! Shout out to the team That’s!!! Cake media!!! This is how #CassperReply works!!! Take #4stepsBack!!!,” the rapper tweeted.

The victory of “The Braai Show with Cassper” for a Golden Horn is undoubtedly cause for celebration, given the turbulence the show through previous to its premiere on television.

From dealing with fans adjusting to a new presenter following AKA’s replacement to the production company’s legal issues with AKA as executive producer.

AKA’s legal dispute with Makhuducom Media concluded with him declaring his ownership stake in “The Braai Show” through an arbitration process.

Supa Mega has not publicly reacted on “The Braai Show’s” Saftas triumph.

Nyovest was not present for the Safta Awards. He was in the United Kingdom, where he was the headlining act at the “Ama Fest.”

Nyovest performed alongside a number of notable amapiano artists, including Uncle Waffles, De Mthuda, Felo Le Tee, DJ Tira, Mfr Souls, Kamo Mphela, and Musa Keys.
