Case against policewoman accused of raping her daughter on camera in Limpopo has been postponed

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) announced the postponement of the case against the 40-year-old policewoman accused of raping and sexually grooming her son.

The Groblersdal Police Station-affiliated 40-year-old Sergeant is charged with raping a minor, sexually grooming a youngster, and making and distributing child pornography.

On Monday, she was scheduled to seek for bail at the Siyabuswa Magistrate’s Court. The case has been delayed until Monday, February 6.

“A video showed the female officer engaged in a sexual act with her kid. IPID will oppose the bail hearing on Monday, according to IPID spokesperson Lizzy Suping.

According to Suping, the accused is being held at the Dennilton Police Station in Limpopo.

The policewoman was detained, as previously reported, when a video of her raping her kid went viral on social media.

Bheki Cele, the minister of police, denounced her acts as “beyond comprehension.” The victim has been relocated to a secure location and is currently getting counseling.

“Being informed that a member of the SAPS has been arrested is one of the most painful things that can happen.”

“But to act in this manner is even incomprehensible. This individual is not merely a member of the South African Police Service. It’s the boy’s true mother… “Now that she has been arrested, she is no longer an honorable member; she is a criminal,” stated Cele.

Apparently, the footage dates back to 2020.
