Carol Kirkwood is not seen on BBC Breakfast show

Carol Kirkwood, the show’s usual weather presenter, was nowhere to be seen when the new week began on BBC Breakfast.

The 60-year-old broadcaster, who routinely informs viewers on the weather, was not present for the edition of the morning show that aired on Monday (February 20).

Fellow meteorologist Matt Taylor filled in for the much-loved Scottish personality and forewarned British citizens of a foggy morning in certain regions of the nation.

While sharing the day’s top news stories with viewers, Jon Kay and Sally Nugent took up their normal positions on the red couch.

In response to the presenters’ questions concerning Carol’s whereabouts, Matt said: “This morning I suspect Carol has ran off with a little of sunlight in her luggage.”

Carol left the show quickly after Naga Munchetty warned her BBC co-star severely for making a subtle jab at the weatherwoman.

On February 16, Mike Bushell, a sports commentator, joined Naga and Charlie Stayt on the red couch as they spoke about the gloomy weather that has returned to the UK.

The three presenters were indignant about how gloomy and rainy the weather had gotten when Charlie, 60, asked Mike whether it was a damp morning when he got to work.

Naga remarked, “You’d think Carol would cheer us up, wouldn’t you?” before talking about the weather.

Mike made a surprising and dig when Carol suddenly appeared on the screen, saying, “I don’t hold out much hope looking at her.”

“Oh. Oh, “Naga said in astonishment. I’m not sure whether he wanted it to come out that way.

Mike could be heard saying: “The sky behind you,” insisting he was referring to the background Carol was facing.

Naga added, “You need to be cautious Mike,” and then pointed to Carol on the television in the background, saying, “The anger will come out there.”
