A football fan has paid nearly R44 million to watch Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi play in a friendly match for their respective clubs, Al-Nassr and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)

A Saudi billionaire has purchased the “world’s most expensive ticket” to attend the event and meet his soccer heroes in person.

Cristiano Ronaldo is anticipated to make his debut for the Saudi Arabian club in the upcoming friendly, which will be played on home soil. The former Manchester United star will lead the All-Star XI, comprised of Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal players.

The club will play French club PSG, whose roster includes Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar, among others.

The match will be played at the King Fahd International Stadium on Thursday, January 19th.

The president of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, auctioned off a ticket to watch the stars play in response to the match’s popularity. The agreement includes the opportunity to meet Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and their teams.
