Buba Galadima Denies Kwankwaso’s Alleged APC Membership, Expresses Willingness to Collaborate with Tinubu

Elder statesman Buba Galadima has dismissed rumors surrounding the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).

However, Galadima acknowledged Kwankwaso and the NNPP’s willingness to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu in the best interests of Nigeria.

He made these statements during an interview on Channels TV, emphasizing that Kwankwaso has not made any official announcement regarding joining the APC.

Unity Government Proposal:

Galadima addressed the notion of a unity government proposed by Tinubu, stating that if Tinubu calls for such a government, it should not be viewed negatively.

Galadima expressed that in Nigeria’s prevailing “winner-takes-all” political climate, a unity government could be a positive step.

Tinubu’s Performance as President:

The NNPP chieftain commended President Tinubu for his performance since assuming office on May 29.

Calls for INEC Chairman’s Dismissal:

During the interview, Galadima advocated for the removal of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu.

He alleged that the INEC chairman colluded with others to manipulate election results, subverting the will of the Nigerian people.

Galadima called on President Bola Tinubu to take action and dismiss the INEC chairman, emphasizing that his actions amounted to a severe offense.
