The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to former Governor Gbenga Daniel’s claims of supporting President Bola Tinubu’s candidacy.
The party asserted that Daniel never backed Tinubu during the APC presidential primaries in 2022.
In a statement issued by the State Assistant Publicity Secretary of APC, Olusola Ogunsanya, the party labeled Daniel’s interview as filled with lies and falsehoods.

The statement further alleged that Gbenga Daniel actually supported the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidates during the last general elections in Ogun State.

The APC statement clarified that there is no record of Gbenga Daniel playing a role in Tinubu’s emergence as governor in Lagos State in 1999.
