British Transport Police issued an appeal for eyewitnesses to help in the investigation of a rape case on a train between London and Kent

After a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped on a train between London and Kent, detectives are looking for witnesses.

After the attack on a service between Eltham and Dartford in the middle of the day, British Transport Police issued an appeal.

In connection with the incident, a 19-year-old guy was detained and released on police bail awaiting further investigation.

Officers said they want to talk to any witnesses or anybody with information that will help them in their investigation.
