A Rebels biker who was caught on camera attacking a sex offender in jail and posted the clip online has passed away unexpectedly.
Bradley Daniele, 29, is said to have had a heart attack and passed away on Sunday morning at Royal Adelaide Hospital after being taken there the night before.
The bikie had briefly made headlines for petty offences, but he rose to fame in 2019 when, at the age of 26, he attacked Hamzeh Bahrami, 33, in the Adelaide City Watchhouse.
Before cops came in and pepper blasted both men, Daniele threw a volley of blows while the other guy cowered in a shower stall.
According to Daniele’s attorney, Bahrami had been identified by the police.
After luring a 10-year-old girl into a public restroom at a suburban Adelaide field while soccer practise was going on, Bahrami was apprehended.
Later, Daniele posted the video of the beating on his Facebook page and stated he was not sorry. The video quickly received hundreds of encouraging comments.
He captioned the video, “To everyone that genuinely knows me, understands that I’m a kind guy and would assist anybody out.”
“Children being physically or emotionally mistreated is something I would not tolerate, and I would repeat this if I had the opportunity.”
The bikie, who has a noticeable Rebels tattoo, had been pulled over for reckless driving and his 14-month sentence for the attack was extended by two more months.
The court remarked that it was not quite clear how Daniele obtained access to commit the assault.
Outside of court, he admitted to the Adelaide Advertiser that his sole regret was not harming Bahrami more.
Later, he wrote a follow-up message to thank his supporters.
I’m not here to incite violence or to support anything negative, Daniele said.
“I’m just trying to get the word out about keeping the streets safe, so kids can go to the playground without having to be afraid of horrible things occurring,” I’m simply trying to spread the word about. This shouldn’t be occurring since we reside in one of the finest nations in the world.
