Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has expressed his belief that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will emerge as the victor at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja.

In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, George, a member of the Integrity Group opposing Atiku’s presidential ambition, shared his perspective on Tuesday.

George Highlights the Importance of Judicial Process

Despite his opposition to Atiku’s candidacy, George emphasized the significance of awaiting the judiciary’s decision.

He urged Nigerians to be patient for the outcome, stating that he would recognize President Bola Tinubu as the country’s leader when his electoral victory is confirmed by the court.

George added that if approached by the President to collaborate for the nation’s welfare, he would seek permission from the PDP, reaffirming his commitment to the party.

Former Benue Governor’s Response to Invitation from EFCC

Samuel Ortom, the former Governor of Benue State, has clarified that his visit to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was voluntary and in response to their invitation.

This clarification comes in response to rumors suggesting that Ortom had been detained at the EFCC Zonal Headquarters in Makurdi.

Ortom’s Visit Demonstrates Willingness to Address Governance-Related Questions

According to Ortom’s media aide, Terver Akase, the purpose of the visit was to demonstrate the former Governor’s readiness to address any questions related to his governance.

Akase reassured the public that Ortom was neither arrested nor detained during his visit to the EFCC office, emphasizing the voluntary nature of his appearance.
