Cross Ikechukwu Okonkwo, a former Big Brother Naija season 6 Shine Ya Eye star and ex-housemate, has revealed a shocking scenario about his advances on Maria, a colleague in the Biggie’s House.
On Day 10 (episode 10) of the Shine Ya Eye Reunion, Cross told BBNaija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that Maria was the first female Housemate he approached in the House for friendship.
When asked about his affair with Saskay, who is known to be one of the people Cross made advances at in the Biggie’s House, Cross stated this.
As he explained, Cross mentioned that Maria was the first female Shine Ya Eye celebrity he wanted to speak with in the House, but as he approached her, he noticed that something wasn’t quite right about her.
Other Housemates in the studio, notably Ebuka, began chuckling and making sarcastic laughter at the time Cross said this.
Ebuka said, “You liked Saskay a lot to want to have something with her?” Cross said, “Yeah”. Ebuka continued, “She also said on the clip about how you were with a lot of the other girls”.
Cross responded, “It’s a House, it’s a game, you can’t go and put all your eggs in one basket. Like, it’s simple as ABC. It’s a House”.
“When I first went into the House, the first person I wanted to talk to was Maria. Yeah. And I always say that and I’ll probably not say it tomorrow and I’ll beat my chest.
“Yeah. Unfortunately, I knew one or two things were not right there and I stepped out. Simple as that. I knew that if… I would have definitely”.
Cross’ statement can be traced back to the Biggie’s House, where it was clear Maria’s attitude didn’t correspond with the Big Brother Naija Housemates’ ideals and qualities.
Furthermore, there could be another explanation for Cross’s statement, which, in the end, boils down to Maria’s attitude and lifestyle in the Big Brother Naija House.
