Big Brother Naija Reunion: Boma says 95% Nigerian of men have girlfriends to justify his action with Tega

Boma underlined that people are highly hypocritical, even when it’s evident they don’t take marriage seriously in Nigeria, while trying to excuse his activity with co-reality star Tega in Biggie’s House.

Boma Martins Akpore, a Nigerian reality television star, claims that the majority of Nigerian married men, or 95 percent, have mistresses.

On Thursday night, June 16, Boma mentioned this at the Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye Reunion, Day 11 (episode 11). And he revealed this when the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, asked him what he would do differently if he were given the chance to return to Big Brother Naija House following the incident with Tega.

Ebuka asked, “So, let me start with you, and finally, looking back, right, and understanding what this has become. Fortunately, unfortunately, this is the show that one moment can define you, and it becomes a narrative”. Boma said, “Sadly yeah”.

Ebuka continued, “Because people won’t really forget everything and you become that guy who did this. What would you do differently”?

In response to the question, Boma admitted that he was a little ignorant in Biggie’s house, claiming that he didn’t play the Big Brother Naija game like a Nigerian. He was most likely carried away by the American way of life.

“I was a bit naive. It’s my own time. I was just playing the game, not like a Nigerian would play the game. I wasn’t really thinking like that. I was kind of more free-spirited”, Boma said.

The reality TV star went on to say that individuals who have criticized him for his intimate moment with Tega appear to take marriage seriously, despite the fact that 95 percent of married men in Nigeria have girlfriends.

Boma said, “They try to act like we take marriage seriously, but 95 percent of married men in Nigeria have girlfriends”. Ebuka, looking shocked, exclaimed, “Heey! 95 (as he demonstrates the figure in the air)”. Boma continued, probably 98. I was thinking that people are free”.

Turning to the Housemates, Boma repeated, “98 percent of married men in Nigeria have girlfriends”. Ebuka laughed and asked Boma, “Where did you get this from”?. All these girls, all the things they’re buying are done by married men”.

Boma continued, “For me, I will just tell the guys, the society we’re in is very hypocritical, you have to be very careful, these people might judge you. You might do all great, good stuffs, one bad stuff will define your moment”.
