Biden mistakes a Salvation Army outfit for the Secret Service

Joe Biden was captured on tape last weekend making yet another mental error when he seemed to confuse a Salvation Army volunteer for a secret service agent.

Prior to this week’s “Three Amigos” conference between the presidents of the US, Canada, and Mexico, the mistake happened on Sunday in El Paso, Texas, when the delegation was visiting the Mexican border.

The President was taken to a migration facility and presented to a salvation army officer in a suit after dealing with Border Patrol agents and walking along the border wall.

I spent some time with the Secret Service in Poland and Ukraine, Biden muttered as he went forward the relief worker, who was standing in front of a Salvation Army flag and wearing a name tag and badge from the organization.

The President smiled at the guy, who seemed perplexed, as they proceeded to shake hands. Biden then moved on down the line, leaving the relief worker in the dark.

As the oldest president ever sworn in, Biden has been the subject of inquiries and worries about his capacity for one of the most demanding jobs in the world, both mentally and physically.

Despite his senior age, 79-year-old Biden has alarmed even his fans with the sheer volume of mistakes he has made in his judgment since assuming office.

The President conducted only five lone news conferences in 2022, down from six in 2021, and just seven formal interviews with working media last year.

During that time, Trump made 18 and 19, respectively.

However, it is not always easy to keep the President away from the microphone.

Prior to the Three Amigos conference this week, where Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador will welcome both Vice President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for three-way discussions, his team will be hoping the President has cleared the mental glitches out of his system.

At their meeting today, the three is anticipated to put aside simmering trade concerns and work toward closer economic union.

Efforts to combat migration and drug smuggling dominated Lopez Obrador and Biden’s bilateral meeting on Monday, but when Trudeau joins them later today, the emphasis is anticipated to turn to the economy.

According to White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, strengthening regional economic links “allows the United States to remain the industrial powerhouse that President Biden has spoken about but also is a win-win for Mexico and Canada.”

Additionally, he said, it “reduces our dependence on other nations and regions of the globe that don’t always share the same values that we share with our partners here in North America.”

Mexico aims to gain from Washington’s initiatives to lessen its dependence on manufacturers in Asia.

The United States extended an invitation to the Latin American country last year to participate in a multi-billion dollar initiative to increase chip production to counter China.

In 2021, after his predecessor Donald Trump cancelled the regional meeting, Vice President Joe Biden reopened the “Three Amigos” negotiations in an effort to normalize relations between the three parties.

However, Lopez Obrador and Biden’s interactions have not always been amicable.

Under the terms of the North American trade agreement, the United States and Canada have filed a formal complaint against Mexico.

The attempt by Lopez Obrador to increase the state’s involvement in the energy sector, according to Washington and Ottawa, harms international investors and slows the advancement of sustainable energy.

While Biden and Trudeau may privately express their worries to Lopez Obrador on the energy changes, they are more likely to highlight the possibility of a better working relationship in public.

On June 18, Biden lost control of his bicycle while riding close to his house in Rehoboth Beach.

He had stopped to say hello to a group of folks who had gathered along the bike track in Gordon’s Pond State Park and were shouting “Happy Father’s Day” at the president.

When he attempted to get off the bike, his shoes became entangled, forcing him to fall over sideways and cause a frenzied rush of Secret Service and press to assist him.

After the incident, which saw Biden remain on the ground for around 10 seconds before being pulled up by numerous Secret Service agents, who then rushed the prostrate Democrat, gasps sounded out from the audience.

A little while later, Biden was mingling with the audience and even inviting one lady to meet his dog, Commander, who was nearby being walked.

Despite the fall, the president did not seem to sustain any wounds or abrasions, and the White House said that he did not need medical attention as a result of the event.

After the fall, Biden himself assured reporters, “I’m okay.”

Following yet another mistake in which the president seemed to receive speaking instructions off his teleprompter, Republican strategist Greg Price made fun of Biden on Twitter.

It is remarkable that a larger proportion of women regularly register to vote and cast ballots than does the corresponding proportion of males. Quote complete. Repeat the sentence,” the president said at a Friday address at the White House.

Women do not lack political or electoral power.

Price likened it to Will Farrell’s Ron Burgundy’s inability to break from the script on his teleprompter despite grammatical problems and glaring inaccuracies when he posted the video on social media.

Burgundy’s humiliating on-air speech mishaps are a running joke throughout the whole film.

Price shared a video of Burgundy’s irate TV team and said that the White House workers working behind the scenes felt the same way.

Emilie Simons, the White House’s assistant press secretary, refuted Price’s assertion that Biden erred.

No, Biden said, “Let me repeat that statement,” Simons wrote.

While discussing options to cooperate with Russia at a news conference at the G7 on June 13, 2021, Biden frequently mixed Syria with Libya.

The gaffe machine at the G7 summit in Cornwall, England, mentioned cooperating with Russian President Vladimir Putin to offer economic assistance to the people of Libya, which caused some puzzled looks from the press pack.

The president, who had previously mentioned Syria, a Middle Eastern nation, added, “I’m hoping that we can reach an accord where we can save the lives of people in — for example, in — in Libya.” Later, the White House dismissed the mistake, reiterating that the president was in fact talking to Syria, where Russia and the US have been engaged in a civil war for ten years.

Even in the 2010s and the 2020s, Biden made mistakes. In actuality, a few occurred in the 2000s.

Following his selection as former president Barack Obama’s running mate, Joe Biden attended a political rally in Missouri in September 2008.

He contacted then-Missouri state senator Chuck Graham there; Graham died away a year ago. to defend the group as a whole.

Chuck Graham, a state lawmaker, is reportedly present. Biden responded, “Stand up, Chuck, so they can see you.

He then noticed Graham was using a wheelchair as a result of muscular dystrophy.

Oh, how God loves you. what am I referring to. I’ll tell you what, however, mate, you’re getting everyone else to get up.

Graham reportedly told the Columbia Tribune that he was never hurt by the error.
