Donald Trump is mourning the death of “Diamond and Silk” combo member Diamond Lynnette Hardaway, who passed away on Monday night at the age of 51.
Hardaway was one of Trump’s most ardent backers, and the former president described his “unexpected” death as “very awful news for Republicans.”
Trump commented on Truth Social, “Extremely negative news for Republicans and, indeed, all Americans.” “Our darling Diamond of Diamond and Silk has just gone away at her home in North Carolina, the state she cherished so dearly.”
The former president referred to Hardaway as “Magnificent Diamond” and stated her sister Silk Herneitha Rochelle Hardaway was “with her every step of the way and at her passing.”
Trump continued, “There was never a better team, anywhere, at any time.”
Concerns regarding Hardaway’s health were expressed on the duo’s official Twitter account in November.

“Diamond & Silk” gained to prominence during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign after converting from lifelong Democrats to staunch Republicans following the announcement of Trump’s White House run a year prior.

The message reads, “Diamond blazed a trail based on her enthusiasm and compassion for the entire human race.” “Her departure should forever be remembered in our hearts. Please respect the privacy of Diamond’s family during this difficult time, but remember and enjoy the gift she provided us all.”
In November, Hardaway’s health raised worry as the duo’s official Twitter account pleaded for fans to pray for her.
