Even though healthy adults may only have short-term symptoms like a high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhea, pregnant women who get Listeria can lose their babies or have stillbirths.

The product comes in a 1 lb. containers, package marked with license number AL 111-C with the company name “Irvington Seafood.”

On May 27, 22 after the FDA tested on May 9, 22 it was found that there was a chance of contamination. Listeria monocytogenes was found on cooking equipment and in the kitchen by the FDA.

No crabmeat has been tested, but because of cross-contamination, products may have been tainted with Listeria monocytogenes. We’re doing a voluntary recall to make sure that our customers are safe.

Production of the product has been stopped while the FDA and the company keep looking into what went wrong.

Customers who bought 1 lb. packages of “Crabmeat” are being asked to bring them back to the store where they bought them for a full refund. People who have questions about the company can send an email to Kammie1101@gmail.com or call the company.
