‘Beautiful’ mum, 40, stabbed at £150,000 Oxfordshire house

Police announced that 28-year-old Mihai Hurmuz-Irimia was charged with homicide.

The bereaved relatives of a murdered mother praised her as a “wonderful and kind person” and a “great mother.”

Tuesday morning, 40-year-old Katie Hurmuz-Irimia was discovered with stab wounds to her neck and chest on a property in Blue Mountains, Wallingford.

The police have verified that Mihai Hurmuz-Irimia, age 28, has been charged with her murder.

In a memorial, Ms. Hurmuz-family Irimia’s said, “words cannot express how we feel.”

They said, “A homage to my lovely daughter Katie, who was a loving person who looked out for others.

Katie was a kind lady and a wonderful mother to Hayden.

The victim’s corpse was discovered at around 2:00 a.m. in Blue Mountains, Wallingford, South Oxfordshire, by police and paramedics.

A pathologist from the Home Office conducted an autopsy in the morgue of the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and determined that stab wounds were the cause of death.

Detective Chief Inspector Jon Capps from the force’s serious crime branch said, “Specially-trained police continue to assist the victim’s family.”

Mr. Hurmuz-Irimia of Blue Mountains appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Friday, and he is scheduled to appear in Oxford Crown Court on Monday.

Police have verified that Mihai Hurmuz-Irimia, 28 years old, has been charged with her murder.

He wore a grey tracksuit and only talked to confirm his name and birth date.

Thames Valley Police Major Crime Team said, “A man has been charged in relation to a Wallingford murder inquiry.”

“Mihai Hurmuz-Irimia, age 28, of Blue Mountains, Wallingford, has been charged with murder.” Today, he appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court.

Tuesday’s accusation relates to the death of a lady at a residence in the Blue Mountains.
