Atlanta Hawks to hire ex-Jazz coach Quin Snyder

According to The Athletic, the Atlanta Hawks are in a hurry to fill their head coaching position, and they have initiated discussions with former Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder.

The team is reportedly trying to hire Snyder as quickly as possible and has already conducted a virtual meeting with him while he was out of the country.

The Hawks recently fired their former coach Nate McMillan after a disappointing season, and Assistant Joe Prunty is currently serving as the interim coach.

Despite considering other candidates, including Ime Udoka, the team is now focused on Snyder, who resigned from the Jazz in June after eight seasons.

Snyder led the Jazz to six consecutive playoff appearances but never made it past the second round. Other coaching candidates being considered by the Hawks include Kenny Atkinson, Charles Lee, Jordi Fernandez, Mitch Johnson, and Miles Simon.
