Postponement of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2023

Friday, the organizers of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival announced that the event, originally slated for 17 and 18 March 2023, had been delayed by nearly a year.

It is now set for February 23 and 24, 2024.

According to the organizers, a succession of unavoidable delays and unanticipated obstacles, as well as uncertainty about the future of load shedding, significantly hampered the planning for 2023.

espAfrika stated that rescheduling the 21st festival celebration was preferable.

“espAfrika apologizes unreservedly to all affected artists, fans, ticket purchasers, suppliers, and partners. It was not an easy choice, but it was the correct one.”

The message reads, “Please be advised that no funds from the sale of tickets to date have been transferred to the organizers, since they vest with Ticketmaster. Therefore, the refund procedure must be conducted via Ticketmaster and not by espAfrika.”
