Argentina vs. the Springboks: same contentious TMO, different official in Durban

The same New Zealand TMO who did duty – in controversial fashion – in the Springboks’ Rugby Championship Test against Argentina in Argentina last weekend is back in Durban on Saturday.

Chris Hart, who baffled, confused and angered Springbok fans with his interference from the television match official booth in Buenos Aires, will again be the man in the hot-seat when the sides clash for a second time at Hollywoodbets Kings Park this weekend.

Springboks could be crowned champions

There will however be a new referee.

Australia’s Damon Murphy will be the man with the whistle and he will be assisted by Ireland’s Frank Murphy and Italian Andrea Piardi.

Kick-off is at 17:05.

The Springboks will know what they need to do in order to be crowned champions come kick-off following the day’s earlier match between the All Blacks and Wallabies at Eden Park at 09:05 (SA time).
