Anne Glover and Diana Noble have been reappointed by Her Majesty the Queen as Non-Executive Directors of the Court of the Bank of England

They provide advice on how to ensure the successful discharge of the Bank’s duties and the most effective use of the Bank’s resources as Non-Executives of the Court and assist in determining the Bank’s objectives and strategy.

The Monetary Policy Committee, the Financial Policy Committee, and the Prudential Regulation Committee are the Bank’s three primary policy committees, and they are not subject to court oversight.

Anne Glover serves as Chair of the Bank’s Pension Fund Trustees and is a member of the Remuneration Committee in her capacity as a Non-Executive Director.

Diana Noble is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Bank and served as chair of the 2021 court review of racial diversity and inclusion at the Bank.

Nadhim Zahawi, Chancellor of the Exchequer, stated:

Announcement of Anne Glover and Diana Noble’s reappointments makes me extremely happy.

They both continue to bring the Bank’s Court a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and experience.

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said:

“I applaud Diana Noble and Anne Glover’s appointment to the Court again.

As the Court supervises the Bank’s operations, their great breadth of experience offers perspectives and a forceful challenge.

I’ve had a great time working with them and am looking forward to more of the same.
