Isla Bryson, a trans woman who committed two acts of rape, has a penis, according to Angela Rayner, head of the Labour Party.
When questioned whether Bryson should have been sent to a women’s jail, Keir Starmer’s deputy seemed confused.
Bryson, originally known as Adam Graham, changed his name to Isla Bryson after being accused of rape. After being found guilty, the sex offender was originally detained in a prison for women before being transferred to an all-male facility as a result of a vehement public response.
The notorious case from last month showed a loophole in the SNP policy that would enable anybody over 16 to “self-identify” as the opposite sex without the necessity for a gender dysphoria diagnostic.
When questioned whether the word “her penis” made sense, Ms. Rayner said, “I don’t believe it truly matters,” to be completely honest.
That individual is now identifying as a woman, she said, speaking to The Sunday Times. Yet, they are at the start of a shift that they think is appropriate for them, and that’s good.
“We value that.” It doesn’t imply that you have to immediately respond, “OK, well, that person then enters into a vulnerable zone,” just because you appreciate it. People, in my opinion, only want to see the human aspect of sympathy for others while simultaneously looking for assurances about safe zones.
I don’t believe that two things are mutually exclusive.
It doesn’t matter whether a penis or any other instrument was used in the offenses, Ms. Rayner said.
According to Conservative MP Nickie Aiken, Ms. Rayner is unsuited for high office as a result of the remarks.
Once uproar erupted over the SNP’s divisive Gender Recognition Reform Bill, Bryson’s estranged wife, Shonna Graham, 31, voiced her “happiness” at Nicola Sturgeon resigning as Scottish First Minister.
The mother-of-one, who is still legally wed to the former serial sex offender Adam Graham, said, “She shot herself in the foot repeatedly, and I’m pleased she’s gone.
Bryson was eventually moved from a female to a male jail for evaluation, but Ms. Sturgeon remained steadfast in her party’s position, putting the Scottish government at odds with London.
In July 2016, Ms. Graham wed Adam Bryson, a shaven-headed monster who had a Mike Tyson-inspired facial tattoo and also adopted her last name.
It was just a matter of time until everybody, including many SNP voters, realized this policy was absurd and Adam had altered his sex to get a more lenient sentence.
In the past, Ms. Graham said she had voted SNP, but “today I believe I’ll rethink my mind.”
