The coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, Rhulani Mokwena, has stated that contract talks between the club’s administration and Andile Jali are underway.
Jali’s contract with Sundowns expires at the conclusion of the current season. Although he is eligible to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choosing, he appears to have given Sundowns the first opportunity.
Now, Mokwena has stated that Sundowns continue to negotiate with Jali and his agent Mike Makaab due to the midfielder’s importance to the team.
Mokwena added that the Sundowns management, not the technical staff, is best prepared to discuss Jali’s ongoing contract negotiations and the nature of negotiations.

And once there is an update on whether Jali will remain or depart, Sundowns, not the technical staff, will make the news.
Mokwena, as reported by iDiski Times, stated, “Andile’s new contract… that department is not a technical department, but the club is communicating with his camp.”
“Discussions are ongoing because he is vital to us. You have seen him play in the last two games. As a substitute, he has performed exceedingly well. He is a wonderful leader, a great footballer, and a crucial member of our team.
Mokwena continued, “Therefore, once there is an update, the club will speak.”
