An Australian BASE jumper was stuck for two hours when his parachute hooked on a tree

An Australian BASE jumper was stuck for two hours when his parachute got hooked on a tree above a dangerous precipice and left him hanging over the edge.

The daredevil uploaded the film to his TikTok page, which is devoted to his BASE (buildings, antenna, spans, and earth) jumping activities, on Monday. Rory Allen’s helmet camera caught his horrific leap in Italy and the horrifying aftermath.

Allen can be seen diving off the peak in the footage before deploying his chute.

However, a strong wind blow during the freefall forces him back towards the cliff face, where he hits the rocky ledge and his parachute becomes caught in a tree.

He can be heard exclaiming “Oh, s***,” then “This is f***ing terrifying,” on the footage.

The wind has suddenly picked up, and I’m blown about while hanging from a tree in a BASE jumping harness, the man added.

When someone yelled down to Allen at one point, he responded, “Dude, I’m OK but I need assistance.” I need a helicopter.

I will undoubtedly break my back and a few of my legs if the tree or my canopy collapses.

“I hope these men show up soon.”

Before being rescued by rescuers, Allen ended up being trapped for two hours and 20 minutes.

Allen said on his TikTok account that the event left him with a “broken foot, but not a severe one,” adding that it “didn’t hurt” at the time.

Despite the stunning near-miss, he continues to base jump.

Allen said, “I’ll be back at it in two more weeks.”

He also described his strategy for avoiding suspension stress. sometimes referred to as harness hang disorder.

It results from insufficient blood flow to the heart and brain due to blood being trapped in the legs.

I moved my feet and alternately released each leg. I didn’t want to change my weight on the tree, which made it difficult, Allen stated.

He is collecting money for the “brave volunteers that rescued” his life and is very appreciative of his rescuers.

He said, “All funds generated will be given to the courageous members of the mountain rescue team who saved my life.”

On Allen’s TikTok channel, the leap received both supportive and critical comments.

So someone needs to sacrifice their life for you, one commenter said.

Another person suggested Allen pick up a calmer hobby.

Just go home and play some chess, my buddy. They claimed it was “more safer.”

BASE jumping is prohibited in national parks and on private land in Australia unless permission is granted, which is one of the reasons why adventure-seekers like Allen sometimes go overseas.
