Three people were killed in the Scottish Highlands crash between a car and a lorry were American tourists, police confirmed.

On August 10, a crash on the A9 near Ralia, south of Newtonmore, in Scotland, claimed the lives of the group.

Jared Bastion, 45, Mary-Lou Mauch, 75, and Kathryn Bastion-Strong, 46, have been given their names.

On a white boat, Jared saw himself holding a large fish. The GoFundMe page’s organizer Natalie Bratcher claimed he was “taken from us way too soon.”

The 59-year-old truck driver was unharmed in the collision.

“Our sympathies are with the family and friends of those who have perished at what is a very terrible time for everybody,” said Sergeant Alasdair Mackay.

A GoFundMe campaign was created by a friend, Natalie Bratcher, to help Jared’s wife and their two young sons with some of their financial struggles.

He loved excellent dining, music, and mushroom hunting.
