Rapper Perm, the son of Dean Whyte, a close friend of British heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte, was shot dead Friday night in Brixton, south London, after a two-vehicle pursuit.

The car chase resulted in the unfortunate death of delivery driver Guilherme Messias Da Silva, who was struck by a vehicle carrying the rapper while riding his delivery scooter.

According to authorities, the drill star leaped out of the vehicle and attempted to outrun his gun-wielding pursuer, but was shot by his killer, who then fled the scene.

Today, boxing manager Dean, who frequently refers to the heavyweight boxer as his brother, made the announcement on Instagram.

Dean, who has become famous in his own right for helping to promote Dillian’s fights, sent a heartfelt message on Instagram: “R.I.P. my boy. Daddy loves u. This morning, the 34-year-old heavyweight fighter published his Instagram story with a bunch of broken heart emojis.

It follows claims by coworkers of Deliveroo driver Guilhereme that he was minutes away from finishing his shift when he was shot and died on Sunday.

According to the driver’s friends, he was knocked off his bicycle and gravely injured while delivering the evening’s last takeout order.

Today, condolences were paid to Guilherme, who is thought to have resided in the United Kingdom for the past two years after relocating from his hometown of Petrolina de Goias near the Brazilian city of Brasilia.

Paulo Silva, 42, a fellow driver, described him as a “nice lad” and “young” and that he had planned to return to Brazil in December.

He stated, “He was a gentleman.” It is terribly tragic. He had intended to return to Brazil soon, but that will not occur at this time.

Another Deliveroo employee who did not wish to be identified stated that he was a “really kind man who had become an innocent victim.”

A close friend tweeted a tribute to Guilherme on social media in Portuguese: ‘Yet another asphalt warrior, modest boy, he sacrificed his life working during a gunfight between gangs in Brixton; he was fatally struck by the thieves’ vehicle.

This first-world nation, as viewed by many foreigners, is not all roses. This is a daily battle away from home, with daily threats. God grant the family and friends consolation. God greets you with wide arms, young man.

Perm took to Instagram yesterday to deliver the following message with friends and fellow artists: “Ran through the dirt but came out cleaner they wouldn’t get it.”

Today, the post was inundated with tributes, including from fellow rap artists and fans. One wrote, “Rip, forever one of the drill scene’s pioneers.”

Another musician, Nadia Rose, remarked, “I cannot believe this.” RIP.’ Another user remarked, “One of the first drill musicians I listened to in 2016/17.” Rest assured.

Perm was a member of the CT drill team, which shares its moniker with the infamous ClapTown gang (CT). Claptown operates in the Lambeth neighborhood, specifically along Clapham High Road.

They are known to have bitter rivalries with other Lambeth gangs, particularly the Brixton Hill-based ’67’ gang.

The rivalry had been partially captured in YouTube drill music videos.

Perm’s death follows the publication of his new album ‘Germs’ last month. He marketed the film on YouTube, which featured footage of the Notre Dame estate in Clapham, south London.
