Actor Kevin Ryan has spoken on the mysterious disappearance of his friend, British actor Julian Sands.
The brother of the missing actor Julian Sands believes he is “gone forever.”
CNN reports that actor Julian Sands was reported missing from the Mt. Baldy area in California on January 13. According to his actor friend Kevin Ryan, Sands undertook a treacherous and hazardous hike.
Even though the actor is the “most advanced hiker” he knows, Ryan acknowledged that each day comes increased strain and uncertainty.
According to Sky News, Ryan stated, “He is beyond experienced, and I’m hoping he’s tucked away somewhere and can pull through.”
Ryan emphasized that Mount Baldy in the winter is a “different mountain.”
“However, that would have been a struggle for Julian, to ascend under those conditions. He enjoys pushing himself, and he has done so,” he continued.
“Like anything else, self-improvement is the result of striving in life. However, given the current weather conditions, this hike is extremely difficult and hazardous. Clearly, something has gone awry. He continued, “Hopefully, with time, we’ll find out, and hopefully it will be the best outcome.”
Authorities provide an update on the missing actor Julian Sands
Authorities said on Tuesday, January 25, that there was still no sign of Sands after discovering another missing hiker. The hunt therefore continues.
“The Sheriff’s Department’s search for missing hiker Julian Sands is approaching its second full week. A news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department stated that many ground and air searches had been conducted.
“At this time, Mr. Sands has not been located, and no indication of his current location has been found,” the statement added.
The second hiker was Jin Chung, a 75-year-old Los Angeles native. He was discovered with “some weather-related injuries and a leg injury, but was able to walk out with the help of the crew.”
