Adelaide student filmed being bashed in bathrooms

Unsettling video shows a bully cornering a Year 7 kid in the restroom and beating him as his companions watch and videotape the terrible assault.

At Golden Grove High School in Adelaide, South Australia, a Year 9 student assaulted a 12-year-old kid in the restroom on Monday.

One student took out their phone to video the argument as other students gathered around the couple and ridiculed the trapped kid.

According to Adelaide Now, the Year 7 student can be seen sobbing as he is pinned between the bathroom sink and a wall by his Year 9 assailant.

The bully demands an apology from the youngster before turning around to smirk at his classmates who are applauding him.

Just apologize, he advises.

The terrified youngster asks, “Say apologize for what?”

The audience then encourages the bully with a number of remarks and cries for him to hit the youngster.

“Kick him! Go again,” advises a pupil.

Someone another continues, “Look at him dude, he’s dead as.

One nice hit, it’s called a f***ing punch, says the third.

The small child is pushed by the Year 9 student, who then strikes him many times in the head and body.

The Year 7 student lowers his head to shield his face before sobbing uncontrollably and falling to the ground.

South Australia Police have opened an inquiry in response to video of the incident.

According to a spokeswoman, “No one has been charged with any crimes as of now, and police are still looking into the instances.”

The high school’s personnel and students are cooperating with the police.

The pupils engaged in the event had their privileges suspended, Education Minister Blair Boyer told the ABC.

It is the most recent video to be discovered at the school after three further altercations were captured on camera there between September 10 and September 26.

The aggressive behaviors had been put an end to, according to South Australia’s Premier Peter Malinauskas, who also announced the hiring of security officers and an experienced former school administrator.

It is very upsetting to see this scene of heinous violence at one of our schools, he continued.

Violence has no place anywhere, much less in our classrooms.

Clearly, something has to be done.

Violence and bullying will not be allowed, Department of Education Chief Executive Professor Martin Westwell told Daily Mail Australia.

According to him, “The Department for Education continues to monitor behavior at the school, meets with the school leadership team on a regular basis to discuss these concerns, and provides continuous support to the Principal and leadership team.”

“Relating to each of the documented events reported, the situation was investigated and led to appropriate disciplinary action, counseling, and assistance,” the statement reads.
