Innocent Masuku, well known for his role as Bobo in the highly acclaimed Yizo Yizo, talks about his drug addiction and how it kept him from reaching his full potential.
Masuku cautions the youth to be cautious of their decisions. “Time flies and the choices you make can cost you in life.”
The actor admits that when he initially entered the industry, he was “tempted”.
He sares his story: “I got involved in drugs and I regret that I lost so many opportunities. I lost so many good things.
“I can never get back that time and it feels bad. This thing still hurts me to this day but I’m one of the lucky few to have survived”
The former Yizo Yizo singer, who claims to be sober for five years, says his addiction cost him many opportunities and wonders on what he could have been.
He encourages individuals in a similar circumstance like him not to give up since there is always a second opportunity.
“If you have a problem, come forward, and let’s help each other. Even if you can go to rehabn, it won’t be able to fully help you if you are personally not ready.
“I know change is pain but change starts with you,” he advises.
