ABC gives fired GMA presenter Amy Robach more severance than T.J. Holmes

Following the couple’s termination from Good Morning America due to their scandalous romance, Amy Robach allegedly earned a larger severance payment than T.J. Holmes.

Both attractive prizes were given to the former GMA3 co-hosts, but Robach, 50, is said to have won out over her new companion.

After DailyMail.com discovered the married co-anchors were having an extramarital affair, ABC executives dismissed both TV hosts last month.

The specifics of the settlement are still being kept under lock and key, but Robach is believed to have gotten a bigger payoff because of her expanded presenting duties and longer tenure with the ABC network.

The pair, who are now jobless, spent time together in LA after leaving, but they are now back in New York.

‘Amy’s been at ABC for a lot longer and has a far larger deal [than T.J.],’ a source informed Page Six.

Holmes, 45, joined the ABC network in 2014, while Robach had been there for more than ten years.

In addition, she was thought to have a higher status inside the organization than her new partner and appear on more shows.

Along with Holmes, Robach co-hosted GMA3, and she also had an appearance on the magazine program 20/20, which sources told Page Six she “worked incredibly hard to acquire.”

The specifics of the payout are unclear, but according to Page Six, Robach and Holmes presumably got the value of their remaining contracts.

It’s conceivable they may have been paid a little bit more to sign an NDA — and to maintain the peace, according to a Page Six source.

A decision on the anchors’ future was eventually made by ABC executives last month, around three months after DailyMail.com first revealed the affair.

Despite executives’ claims to the contrary, it was claimed that Robach and Holmes and the network were unable to come to terms over their positions at Good Morning America.

An email issued to the ABC workforce said the two had been fired from the network.

The email said, “I want to communicate with you that we’ve made a decision on T.J. and Amy.”

After numerous fruitful discussions with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about potential choices, we all concluded it would be best for everyone if they left ABC News, the email to employees said. We appreciate their efforts and are aware of their ability and dedication throughout the years.

Let’s not forget all the amazing work that continues to make ABC News the #1 news network in America, and that’s due of you. I realize that this has been a distraction for so many of us. I want to thank you once again for your professionalism and kindness at this period.

Robach and Holmes were allegedly accused in private by network officials of improperly managing their relationship and waited too long to reveal it to management.

According to sources, the network believed that ABC workers had been made uncomfortable by their “behavior on set.”

The scandal also destroyed the marriages of Holmes and Robach.

Since their separation from their spouses, Robach and Holmes’ separate 12-year marriages have come to an end.

Following their departure from ABC and their impending divorces, a friend of the new couple said that they are both now under a great deal of strain.

The insider said that the fact that they have endured this shitstorm after the revelation of their secret love affair “sort of proves how loyal they are to one other.”

They endured torturous weeks of waiting as ABC kept them in the dark regarding their future after being suspended from GMA3.

But keep in mind that T.J. and Amy were close friends before they fell in love. They had a very close friendship when they first started dating, and it has only grown stronger over time.

It’s difficult to predict right now what T.J. and Amy’s professional futures hold, according to a different DailyMail.com insider. Audiences would undoubtedly be drawn to them because of their on-air chemistry. But he still has a lot of baggage, in particular.
