Aaron Rodgers has commented on the widespread trade speculations that surround him.

Rodgers made his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday and initially stated that he had not decided whether he will play in the NFL for a nineteenth season. That hasn’t stopped some from tying him to the Jets, who are considering adding a veteran quarterback and who just hired ex-Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett in the same role.

McAfee inquired about the procedure that will determine whether Rodgers will share his thoughts with the Packers and vice versa. Here, the 39-year-old Rodgers made reference to Adam Schefter’s story that the Packers “prefer to move on” from the quarterback.

“It sounds like dialogues are already occurring without my participation. “This is very intriguing,” remarked Rodgers. “Honestly, I’ve been sheltered from much of it. I was in Nashville [visiting Randall Cobb and David Bakhtiari] and will be here [at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am] competing in the tournament this week. Consequently, I am not now a part of these dialogues. When I decide one way or another, you people, the Packers, and everyone else will eventually know.”

Rodgers declined to comment on whether the placement of any coach in the league would affect his decision, although he was quite complimentary of Hackett.

“Love Code. He is my man. “I adore him, Megan, and their children,” stated Rodgers. “They are extremely important to me. When he was in Green Bay, we really bonded. He made it entertaining. He amused the room. He made the week enjoyable.”

In the next couple of weeks, Rodgers is “confident” he’ll have a stronger opinion on whether to continue playing.

When asked how he weighs his decision to return, Rodgers stated, “When you’ve played as long as I have, you want to review the previous week’s events. You appreciate journaling and the aforementioned activities. I believe it is essential to consider the tone of these things and where your mind goes when you step away. You must remove yourself from the emotion of it. For this reason, you cannot make a selection until after the Super Bowl at the earliest, as there is still ongoing football play.

“No. 2, it is not about me. It is about the tremendous seasons that the Eagles and Chiefs have had. However, I believe you must be conscious of your mental state during the season. Did you appreciate the tedium as much? Did you enjoy practice? Did you take pleasure in the meeting time and routine? I believe it is crucial not to forget these emotions and to respond emotionally regardless of the outcome.
