A YouTuber traveled 2,600 miles to Florida to distribute hurricane supplies

According to his most recent video, YouTuber Danny Duncan flew from Los Angeles to his hometown of Englewood, Florida, to assist families affected by Hurricane Ian.

Duncan, who has 6.8 million YouTube subscribers, stated that he was in Los Angeles, some 2,700 miles away from Englewood, when the hurricane struck. When none of his connections in Florida responded to his text messages inquiring about their well-being, he and a few buddies decided to “plan the quickest travel possible” and “assist in any way we could,” he added.

Duncan stated that his flight had landed in Atlanta, Georgia, and that he intended to drive “about ten hours” to reach Englewood, which is approximately 535 miles from Atlanta.

On September 28, Insider reported that Hurricane Ian, a Category 4 storm that was subsequently downgraded to a tropical storm, produced 155 mph winds and water up to 12 feet high to some sections of Florida when it initially made landfall in the state. According to USA Today, the storm wreaked havoc in low-lying Englewood, flooding homes and bringing down trees in the streets.

In his video, Duncan captured an overhead picture of Englewood from a helicopter, where it appeared that roofs and walls had been shattered and vast portions of land were inundated.

“I don’t know what I can do to help other than spread the word to millions of individuals who may be able to assist. I mean, I don’t think I can do s*** myself, but I’m going to try. Manifestly, it feels overwhelming “Duncan said.

The YouTuber and his group of buddies then videotaped themselves carrying bottles of water onto a vehicle and delivering them to families who were removing debris from around their homes.

Duncan stated that he also intended to provide a generator to a family in need of one to run a ventilator.

“We’re actually going to deliver the generator to a veteran who lacks electricity and requires a breathing machine,” he stated before the movie shifted to a clip of him delivering the generator to a woman’s home.

“That is incredible, and I cannot thank you enough. He is able to breathe tonight “The woman in the video stated.

Duncan posted a link to his merchandise-selling website in the comments area beneath his video. Duncan stated that “all earnings” from two of his goods would be donated to Englewood families.

In 2014, Duncan rose to prominence on YouTube after posting skateboarding and sports-related videos. He is well known for his giveaway-style comedy videos in which he surprises friends and family with new cars and residences.
