A suspect is on trial for the murder of a Limpopo lady aged 26

On Friday, a 40-year-old suspect is scheduled to stand before the Nebo magistrate’s court in Limpopo for the kidnapping and murder of Vinolia Skosana, 26.

The body of Skosana was discovered in an advanced condition of decay in the Khathazweni River outside of Hlogotlou on Thursday. She was reported missing on December 31, 2022.

The police spokesperson in Limpopo, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, stated that Skosana was last seen attending a function in Holnek village in the Zaaiplaas police district.

Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe, provincial commissioner of police in Limpopo, applauded the arrest and praised members of the community for continually providing the police with useful information.
