A security expert believes that the pro-abortion “terror group” Jane’s Revenge, which has threatened a “Night of Rage” in response to the Roe v. Wade decision, is likely a loose coalition of “anarchist” cells.

Kyle Shideler, director and senior analyst for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism at the Center for Security Policy, a Washington, DC-based think tank, claims that the mysterious group relies on inciting people to destroy and set on fire pro-life clinics and facilities through calls to arms on its website.

Following the Supreme Court draft opinion leak last month that suggested the court prepared to remove a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion, Jane’s Revenge has already firebombed crisis pregnancy centers.

As it was publicly declared on Friday, the group called for a “Night of Rage” on May 30 and used violent language in doing so. It also promised to mobilize when the right was overthrown.

In Wisconsin, Washington, Oregon, Texas, North Carolina, New York, Florida, and Massachusetts, pregnancy crisis centers and religious institutions have now come under attack.

Shideler added, “My suspicion is that we are likely dealing with a number of anarchist cells rather than a completely hierarchical entity.”

I don’t believe Jane’s Revenge has a boss. They don’t need management, leadership, logistics, or anything of the sort, in my opinion.

Instead, “that post on May 30 was a call for action,” according to which “anyone who did activity of the kind that they called for may be considered a member.”

In this regard, he continued, “it is more akin to the fourth-generation terrorist type group that we see with organizations like Antifa, where membership is defined by your acts on the group’s behalf rather than by any kind of official procedure.”

On May 30, Jane’s Revenge became live. “We are asking for brave hearts to come out after dark on the night the final verdict is issued—a specific date we cannot yet foresee but that is approaching quickly.

“We are requesting that you do everything you can to express your anger, no matter who you are or where you are,” they said.

We have decided that nationwide actions will start at 8 p.m., but be aware that this is only a general recommendation. Planning the time and location may entail additional factors.

The Lennon Pregnancy Center in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, appears to have been the target of the most recent incident on June 19. Eleven windows and three glass doors were broken.

A slogan that has been written in red paint during attacks on other institutions was also painted on the building: “If abortion isn’t safe, neither are you.”

One of the initial assaults took place in early May when Molotov cocktails were firebombed at Wisconsin Family Action in Madison.

This was just a warning, Jane’s Revenge’s statement of duty read. Within the next 30 days, we demand the closure of all anti-choice businesses, phony clinics, and violent anti-choice organizations.

“We are several groups, not one.” In your city we are. Every city has us.

Compass Care, a pro-life Christian pregnancy facility in Buffalo, New York, was firebombed and trashed by extremists earlier this month, causing serious harm to the structure.

The Gresham Pregnancy Resource Center attack near Salem, Washington, three days later, and both attacks were blamed on Jane’s Revenge.

When a Molotov Cocktail was thrown through a window early on June 10 and caused significant damage, it was also firebombed.

If the feared “Night of Rage” materializes, according to Shideler, it will be carried out by lone individuals and small groups engaging in irrational, unpredictable behavior.

This sort of behavior stems from the insurrectionist anarchist heritage of acting without waiting for orders or expecting anybody else to do it for you. Just do anything, and it will count toward the effort, he urged.

I think there will be a tendency towards more and more direct action, he continued.

Although you will see some levels of severity, I believe that the majority of activities will be low-level vandalism like what we have witnessed.

Shideler, a resident of Washington, DC, was questioned about the possibility of fatalities and responded, “We’ve already witnessed fire bombings and when you toss fire there is always that chance.”

“It is undoubtedly feasible that they could turn violent toward people.” Their communication’s language made a vague allusion to that.

It’s feasible that they would be open to going there. However, you purposely don’t see it from these types of anarchist groups the majority of the time.

They attempt to keep the degree of violence low, just below what would attract too much attention from law enforcement, or do something that they believe will turn their supporter base against them.

The propaganda is always the objective of this kind of operation, he continued. The target was specifically chosen to illustrate a point. The point will be lost if there are too many human casualties, which happens frequently.

They don’t want to incite hostility toward them.

Several Republicans, including Florida Senator Marco Rubio, have called for federal inquiries and stern action against Jane’s Revenge.

On June 15, he wrote to US Attorney General Merrick Garland requesting that the group and their “urge for an open season against pro-life pregnancy facilities and organizations” be more aggressively addressed.

The senator also mentioned Jane’s Revenge in the letter, saying that the DOJ had broken its duty to protect the public from these violent, radical activists despite the harm that had already been done and the fact that these groups had honored their vow to escalate the violence.

Despite the several pro-life centers in America that have recently been damaged and firebombed, “to date there has not been a single charge made against any individual or group.”

Six days later, the FBI acknowledged that it was looking into the string of attacks, stating that it takes all threats seriously and was still cooperating with local law enforcement organizations around the nation.

Shideler thinks localized investigations have a much better probability of helping identify any Jane’s Revenge members.

We don’t know as much about the people behind this as we should, he claimed.

In most big cities, there are already established anarchist cells that are prepared to recruit for or support this kind of action.

The Pacific North West is a major region for this kind of activity. We witnessed a significant Jane’s Revenge action scene there on purpose. They are most likely hiring from that group of persons.

The people who protested Wisconsin pregnancy crisis centers are likely Wisconsin residents, he continued.

They belong to existing local groups, thus local law enforcement needs to be aware of who they are.

They must be aware of who associates with whom and other such information. So you know what and maybe who you are dealing with when something happens, like an attack under the guise of Jane’s Revenge.

Jane’s Revenge is described in the letter as “not one group but many,” and it has distributed “communiqués in sites around the country, but primarily in the Pacific Northwest.”

A number of attacks in Madison, Wisconsin, Ft. Collins, Colorado, Des Moines, Iowa, Hollywood, Florida, Denton, Texas, and Washington, D.C. have been attributed to them.

Additionally, they asserted that they had assaulted Reisterstown and Frederick in Maryland, as well as Portland, Eugene, and Gresham in Oregon, Olympia, Lynwood, and Vancouver in Washington, and Gresham and Gresham in Oregon.

“Going forward, any anti-choice organization that shuts down operations and closes its doors will no longer be a target.”

The organization adds that it appeals to anybody “with the urge to paint, to burn, to slash, to jam” to commit violence, but until you do, it’s open season, and we know where your operations are.

“The enslavers’ infrastructure won’t endure.” We won’t ever give up, falter, slow down, or turn back. We didn’t want this, but since it has happened, we must deal with it fairly.

The letter states, “We exist in confluence and solidarity with all others in the quest for total liberty.

In order to heal ourselves without the aid of the medical community or any other middleman, “our only option now is to defend ourselves and to form strong, compassionate communities of mutual aid.” Attacking gives us excitement, confidence, and the chance to break through these violent institutions’ facade of impenetrability.
