A rollercoaster car crashed off its tracks in Denmark today, killing a 14-year-old girl and injuring two other kids.

Tragic events occurred at 12.50 p.m. when the back carriage of the thrill ride “Cobra” at Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus, eastern Denmark, detached from the coaster.

A 14-year-old girl’s death was verified 90 minutes after three children were promptly brought to the hospital, according to the broadcaster TV2.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud blast and then saw a rollercoaster carriage fall off the track.

Emergency personnel are still present.

Nobody who was critically injured has been named.

Unknown is the extent of the injuries sustained by the other kids.

Following the incident, one of Denmark’s most well-known theme parks, Tivoli Friheden, was evacuated and shut down.

At a press conference this afternoon, police inspector Brian Voss Olesen stated that it is still unknown what exactly caused the “very very unfortunate event.”

He did, however, add that the process by which rollercoasters are authorized for public use will be the subject of “a great deal of energy” from the investigators.

The park will remain closed tomorrow to allow for more research, Mr. Olesen added.

On Facebook, the theme park said that it will “stay closed until further notice.”

‘We have gathered the visitors who are related to the injured – and those who were on the train – and are providing psychological aid to those who need it,’ Tivoli Friheden continued.

Although the accident’s cause has not yet been identified, technical assistance from specialists has been requested.

We advise our visitors not to share any photos that may have been taken in relation with the accident out of respect for the hurt.

I was on that specific ride a few weeks back, a commenter named Jennifer Ann Been said.

I sat on that portion of it and declared that I believed it to be dangerous.

“My thoughts are with the family, the employees, and the poor girl who passed away,” the speaker said.

She said, “Just got home from out there,” Lisbeth Rasmussen.

A big thank you to the personnel for directing the people to the exit so quickly and calmly. Wishing the injured the best of luck.

One of the most well-known roller coasters in Denmark is called Cobra, and it has three up-side-downs with a top speed of 44 mph. The ride lasts 1 minute and 40 seconds.

It also boasts 4.5Gs, which is the same force as Alton Towers’ Oblivion.

Four individuals were hurt in 2008 when two rows of chairs on Cobra came loose.
