Police have published a photo of a manikin that was spotted being placed into a vehicle and caused a significant emergency reaction.

After receiving a complaint from a member of the public reporting seeing a guy being placed in the boot of a vehicle, police made a request for information.

In addition, they conducted “urgent inquiries” all day Wednesday near the wake of the accident on the A48 in Blakeney, Gloucester.

However, after the appeal, a number of individuals came forward to claim they saw the event and thought the “guy” was really an innocent manikin.

A business that develops and produces lifelike training manikins called Gloucestershire Police to report that a water rescue manikin was being placed into a vehicle yesterday morning.

The caller who reported the event, who called with good intentions, and others who came forward with information after the appeal are both thanked by the officers.

Police shared a photo of the manikin on Twitter after the mystery had been solved and stated: “We made an urgent appeal this week following a report that a man was observed being placed into the boot of a vehicle on the A48 in Blakeney.”

Thankfully, we quickly discovered that the “guy” was really an Extreme Simulations water rescue manikin that had a genuine appearance. On that day, here he is in training.

According to the first appeal, a passing driver reported seeing a man and a woman loading a guy wearing a t-shirt into the trunk of a dark-colored automobile.

The appeal read: “Detectives are now appealing to the public to try and understand what was taking place after urgent inquiries have been underway this morning and the individual has not yet been identified or located.”
