A disgruntled resident advises Perth business owner to water their succulents

Business owners were surprised to receive an odd email from a bystander saying that they didn’t water their plant sufficiently.

An angry local who saw luscious bowls outside the Hay Street headquarters in Perth that appeared unhealthy gave the companies the email.

The email claimed that the business owner had neglected to water the plants since they didn’t appear to be “thriving.”

The email stated, “It really reflects very poorly on both of your businesses.”
You should not be working in front of your building; your enterprises are taking care of the living and fixing technical issues.

It simply shows a lack of consideration and attention to detail. I find it odd that neither you nor one of your workers has brought this issue to our attention.

The email advises the business owner to bring up the issue with the strata manager while also watering the plant.

‘I do not know the name of your strata manager, so you will have to report it to them yourselves,’ it read.

‘While you wait for your strata manager to attend to this, you could improve things by throwing a couple of buckets of water into the bowl.

‘This is a low technology act that will have a big impact on the care of the living.’

A copy of the email was posted on Facebook, where it caused controversy among online users.

Some claimed that by emailing the business owners, the sender had overstepped their bounds.

One person wrote, “In the time it took to write this, they could have stopped and watered it.”

Others intervened to support the email, arguing that the company should be held accountable.

Another person said, “I agree 100 percent with this email lol.” “Emailing a firm about the condition of its succulents is such a fantastic and amusing move.”
