A British father-of-three was left for dead after being thrown off a cliff by gang in Spain

After being attacked and thrown off a cliff by a gang while on holiday in Spain, a British father-of-three was left for dead.

After being pursued by a group of men, Steen Nodwell suffered a cracked head, broken arms, a broken jaw, and a shattered cheekbone.

On Friday night, the 29-year-old was on vacation with pals in the coastal town of Salou, according to his loved ones.

When Steen, from Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, was attacked by the gang, he required many procedures and was stuck in a Spanish hospital in Tarragon.

Steen’s medical insurance will only cover the cost of medical procedures, therefore his family has begun fundraising to have him driven back because he will be unable to fly.

‘This campaign is in assistance of my brother who was left for dead while on holiday in Spain,’ his sister Bethan wrote on a GoFundMe page.

‘Steen is a strong and determined individual, as this incident demonstrates.

‘After violently beating my brother, a mob of local men hunted him down and hurled him down a cliff.’

‘It was only through sheer drive and courage that my brother was able to get up and walk for help despite his life-threatening injuries.’

‘Had he not done that, the conclusion could have been even more disastrous.’

‘These men tried to assassinate my brother, and now we need your assistance.’

‘Steen has two broken arms, one of which is a compound fracture, as well as a broken jaw, a fractured eye socket and skull, a shattered cheekbone, and other injuries.’

‘He need numerous procedures, all of which are happily covered by his GHIC card.’

‘Whether you help with a penny or a pound, every little helps. Or even a share of this fundraiser. Our family appreciates it all.

‘Anyone that knows my brother knows his strong character, I have no doubt he will handle this better than anyone I know.

‘But let’s make it as comfortable as we possibly can.

She told ITV News West Country: ‘The biggest concern is the fractured skull and eye socket. They want to operate on that first in Spain.

‘He’s got a shattered cheek bone, a broken jaw, two broken arms, internal bleeding and he needs to be seen by a neurologist to determine more.’
