41-year-old man seriously injured after he was run over while fleeing robbery suspects on the R102 in the vicinity of the Palmview intersection

On the R102 near the Palmview intersection in KZN, a 41-year-old man was critically injured after being ran over while fleeing robbery suspects.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was contacted by passing drivers who wanted to request assistance for a pedestrian who was lying by the side of the road.

Once there, it became clear that two suspects were approaching the pedestrians while holding firearms.

The deceased was struck by a maroon Toyota Landcruiser that was driving by as he tried to escape through the morning traffic. The incident fractured both of his legs. The suspects ran away with nothing.

The pedestrian received treatment on the scene before being taken by Ambulance to the hospital.
