22-year-old accused after heckling Prince Andrew

Police Scotland have announced today that a 22-year-old man has been charged with disturbing the peace after a bystander heckled the disgraced Duke of York as he gravely marched with King Charles III behind the Queen’s coffin in Edinburgh yesterday.

As his mother’s hearse slowly up the Royal Mile in the Scottish capital to St Giles’ Cathedral, where the late queen is resting in state until it is taken to London later this afternoon, video shows a guy yelling at humiliated Prince Andrew.

The heckler was then shown being pushed to the ground by incensed mourners as the throng continued to chant “God Save the King” in the footage.

As people mourning the late Queen continued to shove the child, a police officer lifted him up and took him away.

As Andrew and his siblings, the King, the Princess Royal, and the Earl of Wessex proceeded to walk the 1,200 yards from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to the 12th-century church, he cried “disgusting” and “I’ve done nothing wrong.”

‘A 22-year-old male was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace on the Royal Mile at 2.50pm on Monday, September 12, 2022,’ a Police Scotland spokeswoman said in a statement to MailOnline today.

He was discharged on the condition that he would provide a report to the Procurator Fiscal and eventually appear in court in Edinburgh.

During this time of sorrow for the Queen, working members of the royal family will attend five formal engagements while dressed in military uniform.

The procession to Westminster Hall and service of prayer and contemplation, the vigil at Westminster Hall, the state funeral at Westminster Abbey, and the committal ceremony at St. George’s Chapel Windsor are among them.

The Duke of York, however, won’t dress in uniform as a non-working member of the royal family other than as a particular gesture of respect for the Queen during the closing vigil in Westminster Hall, according to insiders.

At all subsequent public memorial services for his mother, the prince will have to dress in civilian attire; however, there may be an exemption granted as a particular gesture of respect for the Queen at the last vigil in Westminster Hall.

However, Meghan Markle’s close friend and favourite writer Omid Scobie said that Prince Harry, who has served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, has also witnessed military action, has been forbidden from donning his uniform at all.

I am aware that Prince Harry will not be permitted to wear a uniform for the closing vigil in Westminster Hall, in contrast to Prince Andrew. Undoubtedly a major setback for the Duke of Sussex, who served for 10 years and this morning referred to the Queen as his “commander-in-chief,” according to a tweet he sent the day before.

Because of his friendship with Epstein and claims made by one of the paedophile’s “sex slaves,” Virginia Roberts, that the royal sexually assaulted her while she was a minor under American law, Andrew forfeited his HRH status and was stripped of all of his honorary military positions, including Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.

These claims culminated in a bombshell US lawsuit and a multimillion-pound out-of-court settlement with no admission of liability. The charges have always been refuted by the Duke of York.

Following their resignation from their royal responsibilities and departure from the UK for California, Harry and Meghan also lost their titles.

The subsequent Megxit saga, in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex levelled a number of astounding accusations against The Firm, including allegations of racism levelled against Meghan and her unborn son Archie by an unnamed senior royal, has sparked a civil war in the House of Windsor and brought the monarchy to one of its most dire crises.

Yesterday, Andrew accompanied his siblings as Her Majesty was brought from Balmoral Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where she had been resting for six hours.

The Royal Standard was used to wrap the Queen’s coffin in Scotland, and a wreath of white flowers, including spray eryngium, white spray roses, white freesia, white button chrysanthemums, dried white heather from Balmoral, and pittosporum, was placed on top.

The casket was carefully lowered into the hearse while the national anthem played. As the Queen’s funeral procession started its ascent of the Royal Mile, bagpipes playing from Holyrood Palace performed the National Anthem.

A Bearer Party composed of members of The Royal Regiment of Scotland and The King’s Body Guard for Scotland accompanied the hearse. In ceremonial attire, mounted cops rode in front of the procession.

King Charles followed his adored mother in a sombre stride behind his siblings and sister. The arrival of the hearse caused the gathering well-wishers to pause.

As the cortège drew near, the audience spontaneously rose to its feet and cheered, with many yelling “God Save the King!” and “God Save the Queen!”

The Crown of Scotland was put on the coffin once the Queen arrived at St. Giles’ Cathedral around 30 minutes later. Following the ceremony, the general public will be permitted to pay their respects for 24 hours before Her Majesty is flown to London.
