The world’s largest afrobeats festival, Afro Nation, has week revealed the dates for its venerable Portugal edition in 2023. Between June 28 and 30, 2023, the event will return to Praia Da Rocha beach in the Algarve.
This news coincided with the debut of the “Afro Nation 2022 Official Aftermovie,” which was made public earlier this week on YouTube.
The video flashbacks to Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Chris Brown, and Megan Thee Stallion’s festival headlining performances in July.
Legends P-Square and Beenie Man also performed at the event, along with more contemporary artists including CKay, Popcaan, Shenseea, Omah Lay, Rema, and Dadju.
A massive amapiano line-up including DJ Maphorisa, Musa Keys, Uncle Waffles, Young Stunna, and Focalistic performed in front of 35,000 adoring fans on the brand-new and well-liked Piano People stage.

They said on Twitter, “Choose our payment plan option to reserve your ticket with a deposit and pay the balance in 4x monthly instalments.
The festival’s organizers remarked that Afro Nation Portugal “truly seemed like the culmination of everything we’ve been working towards, and managed to surpass everyone’s expectations once again” while discussing Portugal 2022’s success and the preparations for next summer.
“In 2023, we’re going to step things up a notch and gather everyone on the beach for an incredible celebration of music and harmony. I’ll see everyone there.
Afro Nation will end the year in Ghana for the new year on December 28 and 29, before the Portugal edition of the festival takes place the following year. Davido, P-Square, Stonebwoy, and other artists will perform in Accra.
