According to prosecutors, two persons admitted to participating in a conspiracy to sell a journal and other belongings to President Joe Biden’s daughter to the right-wing organization Project Veritas for $40,000.
The two, who are both from Florida, admitted to planning to transfer stolen goods over state lines, according to Manhattan U.S. Attorney Damian Williams’ office.

Authorities did not name Biden, the sort of property taken, or the company that made the payment, but the investigation’s specifics had been made public for months.
At September 2020, one of the defendants was residing in a Delray Beach, Florida residence where Ashley Biden allegedly kept the journal, tax papers, a digital device with family photographs, and a smartphone.
They said that after stealing the goods, the lady called the second defendant, a male, who then got in touch with Project Veritas. Project Veritas requested images of the stolen goods and then paid for the two to transport them to New York.
Prosecutors claim that after meeting the two in New York, members of Project Veritas sent them back to Florida to collect more of Ashley Biden’s belongings from the house. When they returned, they handed the items to a local member of Project Veritas who then brought them to New York, according to the prosecution.
According to the prosecution, the activist group—which views itself as a journalistic outlet—paid the two each $20,000 for their services.
According to Project Veritas, it obtained the journal via “tipsters” who said it had been left in a room. The activist organization said that it gave up the journal to law authorities and that it never committed any crimes.
According to Project Veritas’ founder James O’Keefe, the organization finally decided against publishing the diary’s contents because it was unable to verify that Ashley Biden really wrote them.
Project Veritas is most known for its covert camera sting operations that have humiliated Democratic politicians, labor unions, and news organizations.
