12-year-old girl gives dognappers her pocket money for her pet

A 12-year-old girl has made an agonizing plea to the dog thieves who took her puppy, promising to give them all of her pocket money in exchange for the return of the toy poodle.

Smaila was given to Tia Bajalyte as a surprise birthday gift in August of last year, but only seven months later, thieves took the puppy from her parent’s vehicle and left behind £400 in cash as payment.

Tia made a video message to the thieves yesterday in an effort to get her dog back. It was both her birthday and the one-year anniversary of getting the puppy.

The Uxbridge, West London, youngster said that she misses her dog “every day” and had been anticipating “having fun” with Smaila on her birthday.

This is for the thieves, it’s my birthday today, she remarked. It is also quite tough for me to know that she is somewhere else and not with me.

I really wanted to enjoy myself, do fun activities, and blow out candles on my birthday with my dog.

But it won’t happen, I suppose.

“And all I want to say is that, whether you abducted her for cash or for your own amusement, other people weren’t having fun.

“It’s not fun for me, it’s not fun for my whole family,” she said.

Tia, who lives with her mother Auksine Varlee, 37, and Auksine’s husband Tomas Jagminas, 39, said that following the death of her second dog, Smaila had become her “best friend,” and she just wants to be able to “cuddle her again and take her for walks.”

I absolutely miss her every single day, she continued. She reminded me of my little kid.

And if you are doing it for financial gain, I will give you every penny from my wallet, just so I may have my kid back.

She was my pet, and I wanted her indefinitely.

Smaila was taken in March by criminals using a silver A Class Mercedes in Edmonton, north London.

Auksine, Tia’s mother, said that they had only been away from the vehicle for a brief period of time.

“Tia thinks the world of Smaila,” she remarked. We are all heartbroken. She is a huge part of our family, and we never forget to think about her.

Apparently, the burglars were mainly interested in Smaila.

We had only been gone from the vehicle for a short while when they entered, kidnapped the woman, and fled with £400 in cash.

“Since she was abducted, our lives have altered, and I just hope we’ll get her back someday.”
