Zulu King receives apology from BSA for failed tournament

Boxing South Africa (BSA) may take action against the promoters of the bungled boxing spectacle that featured Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Misuzulu.

BSA has begun an investigation into the situation and apologized to King Misuzulu for the humiliation that it has caused.

The joy4joy Tournament, originally scheduled for last Sunday, was postponed twice but never took place.

Mayweather’s team distanced themselves from the hijinks that transpired in a radio interview on MetroFM. The camp alleged that the organizer, Arnold “Squire” Nododile, did not pay them any money.

In addition, the sanctioning fees were allegedly not paid, and the number of contests was decreased from six to three. Some boxers discovered on their way to the venue that the event had been canceled and that some of the international competitors did not have return tickets.

“BSA, as the governing body of professional boxing in the country, apologizes to the Zulu King, the boxing fraternity as a whole, and members of the general public who may have been adversely affected by the activities of the Joy4Joy boxing promotions.

“The BSA stresses that it is the primary responsibility of promoters to organize exciting and high-quality competitions. This means, among other things, that the promoter must comply with Boxing SA’s regulatory framework, specifically the boxing regulations, according to a BSA statement. “In the present case, Boxing SA provided the promoter enough time to comply with requirements, but the promoter refused to do so, forcing Boxing SA to cancel the event.”
