An employee at a Florida coffee shop called “We Spy Coffee & More” has confessed to hiding his cell phone under the sink in the bathroom to record footage of 10 men he found attractive, according to police.
Spyridon Voulgarakis was arrested on Saturday after a customer at the Tarpon Springs coffee shop discovered a camera placed under the sink in the men’s room that had recorded him.
The customer confronted Voulgarakis, a business partner and employee at the shop, and contacted the police.
The victim told the police that he found a phone under the sink that had recorded him while using the bathroom, and he later handed the phone over to the authorities.
The booking officer stated in the affidavit that Voulgarakis had recorded the victim in a private bathroom to capture his genitals for self-gratification.
The coffee shop’s spokesperson did not respond to requests for comment on Tuesday.
Voulgarakis, 31, reportedly admitted to the police that he placed his phone under the sink to record men he found attractive, knowing that it was illegal.
He claimed to have secretly recorded 10 people, though it is unclear if this number includes the victim who reported the incident.
Voulgarakis has been charged with battery and video voyeurism, and he did not respond to requests for comment on Tuesday morning.
