Woman jumps from 27 floors at Times Square

Yesterday, Times Square was filled with horror as a woman was “seen leaping” to her death from the Hyatt Centric’s roof top bar on the 54th level.

She allegedly fell 27 storeys from Bar 54’s rooftop before landing on the balcony on the 27th level.

Emergency personnel discovered the 26-year-old woman lifeless and unconscious on the balcony just before 3.30 p.m.

Sadly, she was declared deceased at the spot. The municipal medical examiner will identify her official cause of death.

Police have not said if the woman was a visitor to the bar or a stay at the hotel.

According to a hotel staffer, the bar was closed the remainder of yesterday.

The NYPD validated the account of what happened yesterday.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation General Manager Tom Blundell issued a statement in which he said: “We are profoundly saddened by the event that took place this afternoon at our hotel and our prayers go out to the individual’s family and all who have been touched.”

We are working closely with the local law enforcement, and you should contact them with any questions.
