A Russian free-climber has sent social media into a frenzy after releasing a video of herself sitting on the brink of the second-tallest skyscraper in the world.

The following video shows her clad in red, with her legs dangling over the side of the tower while she sunbathes with the wide cityscape below.

Nikolau and Beerkus are well-known for scaling skyscrapers around the world and shooting photos from atop them.

She continued, ‘I initiated the mission. I wore a hijab, spectacles, and a builder’s outfit to blend into the background as much as possible. I overheated after running the first 32 stories of the building. I had to lie bare on the concrete floor to cool off little. I drank every drop of water I had.

Nikolau also mentioned that she had rented an apartment with a good view of the tower in order to conduct surveillance on the structure. She spent several weeks gathering helpful information for the climb.

Nikolau shared further photos and videos on Instagram of her Merdeka Tower travels.

In one post, she proclaimed, “I have scaled the second-tallest structure in the world, MERDEKA TOWER! This is the most stunning tower I’ve ever seen.

Another picture depicts her performing a yoga-like stance at the top of the tower while the camera pans out to reveal a breathtaking vista of the surrounding skyscrapers and mountains.

Another post depicts her posing and messing with her hair on the tower.

The report of Nikolau is filled with glamorous photographs of her experiences.

Her social media profiles identify her as ‘the world’s most extreme roofer girl who is inspired by art and heights,’ as well as an extreme creative and a painter.

In December, the Malaysian authorities stated they were investigating Nikolau and Beerkus for trespassing.

The Merdeka 118 Tower is expected to be completed by the middle of 2023, citing the developer. The hotel will occupy the upper 17 levels.

Tengku Datuk Ab Aziz Tengku Mahmud, chief executive officer of PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd, stated in August, “The offices can move in first, while the hotel will be ready by the third quarter of next year.”
